The food

The bread is baked here

The food is cooked on site by a chef, in a professional kitchen. What's served during your particular week, and when, is up to the organiser.

A long table with big dishes of salads and stews along a white-tiled wall, and several people helping themselves.

From the kitchen

All of this was made in the kitchen

Two freshly baked loaves with cracked golden-brown crusts, just out of the oven on a tray lined with baking paper.

The bread

The loaves are baked here, and the gluten-free bread the same way.

A deep bowl of yellow root vegetable soup with coriander and chilli flakes, beside a plate of bread and green salad.

Soups and stews

They're made in the same kitchen.

A salad of nectarine, tomato, courgette and basil on a green dish.

The salads

They're prepared here.

The whole table

This is how the table looked one day.

We sit and eat together, and the setting lends itself to good conversation, or to sitting together in silence. Nobody has anywhere to be afterwards.

Worth knowing

There are two dining rooms, one on each floor

The smaller one is on the same floor as the rooms, and the bigger one is a flight of stairs down, or round the outside of the house if you'd rather.

The nearest shop is an ICA Nära in Stjärnhov, a few kilometres away. It's also a pharmacy agent.

The big dining room: wooden floor, tables with chairs in different colours, a sofa in the foreground, and at the far end the door into the kitchen.

The guests' kitchen

A room to go to between sessions

Next to the smaller dining room is a kitchen for guests, with round tables and chairs in different colours and a row of windows looking out onto the oaks.

Herbal teas are set out here, and it's the room where everyone ends up when a session has just finished and nobody quite wants to leave yet.

A marble worktop with a basket of crispbread and oat biscuits in a striped tea towel, dishes of cheese and jam, teacups, a fruit bowl and a lit candle.

The kitchen

The food is made here

The kitchen is full-size and professional, right next door to the dining room, and that's where the meals are prepared.

Beside the kitchen there's a larder and a cold room.

Special diets

If you have a food allergy, the kitchen wants to know in advance

Say so in good time through your organiser, so the kitchen knows about it before you arrive. Gluten-free bread is baked here.

Dietary preferences that aren't allergies we're unfortunately unable to cater for, unless agreed otherwise with the organiser.
